“Ready, S-t-e-a-d-y, GO !”

This is something my kids say when they are about to fling themselves into a new experience or challenge.

They gather all their courage and shout at the top of their lungs, “Ready?…S-T-E-A-D-Y…GO !!” taking off in a burst towards the direction of the great unknown.

I love hearing them say it, it’s different than the branded saying I grew up on, “Ready, SET, go!” I like theirs infinitely better. Swapping “steady” for “set” is a nice nudge to get still and centered before you fire off towards that next thing. Gather yourself, you know? Get clear, get grounded.
